It's time to renew landcare (pdf)
Following the 20th anniversary of Bob Hawke's launch of the Decade of Landcare, this paper in the Journal Agricultural Science presents an agenda to rejuvenate landcare Landcare, sustainable agriculture and natural resource management.

Hybrid buildings: Pathways for greenhouse gas mitigation in the housing sector (pdf)
This report shows how the carbon emissions from 5-star rated homes can be reduced to zero, with the savings averaging eleven tonnes per house each year.

Climate 2030: A national blueprint for a clean energy economy (pdf)
Reducing oil dependence. Strengthening energy security. Creating jobs. Tackling global warming. Addressing air pollution. Improving our health. The United States has many reasons to make the transition to a clean energy economy. What we need is a comprehensive set of smart policies to jump-start this transition without delay and maximize the benefits to our environment and economy. Climate 2030: A National Blueprint for a Clean Energy Economy (“the Blueprint”) answers that need.

Sustainable development (pdf)
The key finding of this report by the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (ATSE) is that a commitment is needed by government and industry to invest around $6 billion by 2020 on RD&D on new power generation technologies. Increased deployment expenditure is required after that. Further, no single new technology for stationary energy production will be capable of achieving the projected reductions for CO2. A new Energy Research Council should be established and should fund necessary RD&D proposals.

Vertical farm
Vertical Farming offers a much needed response to the world crises society faces today such as population increases, decreasing food supplies, a dwindling ecology, pollution, climate change, dramatically reduced transportation loads , urban heat island effect are to name a few. Energy (R)evolution - A sustainable Australia energy outlook (pdf)
The energy [r]evolution is an independently produced report that provides a practical blueprint for how to half global CO2 emissions, while allowing for an increase in energy consumption by 2050. By dividing the world into 10 regions, with a global summary, it explains how existing energy technologies can be applied in more efficient ways. It demonstrates how a ‘business as usual’ scenario, based on IEA’s World Energy Outlook projections, is not an option for environmental, economic and security of supply reasons. Cycling - Getting Australia Moving (pdf)
This report has been developed to assist practitioners, policy makers and planners to increase adult physical activity levels through bicycle riding. It does this by first setting the scene on Australian cycling and then outlines current barriers and facilitators to greater participation. Finally, the report delivers a set of recommendations to overcome these barriers and increase bicycle riding among Australian adults.
